Here’s a little rule humans love to forget: What you think about others only affects… drumroll, please… YOU. When you think not-so-nice thoughts about someone else. Who is thinking these thoughts? YOU. Who do your thoughts affect? YOU So, who will end up with a headache, a bad mood and a membership in the misery club? Ding ding, YOU! 3 out of 3. Nailed it, well done! Glad we had this little heart-to-heart. P.S. And no, it doesn’t matter how annoying, wrong, or facepalm-inducing the person is. What you think about others still only affects you!
Your mom, your therapist, and the Beatles all agree: You need love. But humans got it the wrong way around. Your deepest need isn’t to be loved but to love. Not to feel appreciated, but to appreciate. You did not come here to beg the world for what you lack. Come one now! Do you really think I sent you into this life empty? I stuffed you with enough love to last you several lifetimes And I dare you to spend it in one. P.S. Guess who helped the Beatles pen their hits! I gave Paul “Yesterday” in a dream; he couldn’t believe it. He still can’t!
Your child did not come here empty. Your job is not to raise your child into the person they should become but to provide them with an environment where they can unfold the person they already are. Your job isn’t to give them the answers but to help them trust their own. Not to guide them but to help them discover their own guidance. Trust your child, and in doing so, you trust the wisdom that created them. (that would be me) Isn’t that the most beautiful job? To care for a little spark of Life and watch it turn into a flame that brightens the world?
Remember our pre-journey pep talk? You’re gonna meet a lot of humans on Earth But no need to be nervous! Humans are quite a delight once you get to know them. You’ll make incredible friends and maybe a few enemies (or “accidental mentors” as I prefer to call them) You’ll argue, laugh, play and perhaps even fall in love with some of them. No matter what happens, always remember. Everyone is doing the best they can. Even when it doesn’t look like it. It’s everyone’s first time being human. They are learning and figuring it out. An entire planet full of souls remembering who they are, Just like you. I have a feeling you are going to love Earth. It’s one of the warmest and most loving places in the universe. P.S. The best way to make a friend here on Earth? Get a human to expel air in rapid bursts while they contour their face in funny ways; they call it laughter. Careful, it’s super contagious!
Just a reminder from Life What you tell others is for you to hear. What you teach others is for you to learn Class dismissed! Professor Life P.S. Omg… wait a second…does this also apply to me?
You won’t believe what I overheard today. I heard a guy say that people are unfriendly where he lives. Someone else complained that people where he is from are so grumpy. Yet, another gleefully shared how nice folks in his neighbourhood are The thing is, they all live in the same place. Crazy, huh? P.S. Btw what are people in your life like?
You have two options. 1. You can wait until people stop being rude, grumpy and unreasonable. 2. or you can decide to feel good regardless of how people act. No matter how unreasonable, grumpy, or angry they are. What is it going to be today? P.S. Option 1 could take a couple of thousand years… I have got time. Do you?
You are the only thinker in your world. What do you think about others, You are thinking about yourself. What you wish for others, You are wishing upon yourself. What do you think about others only affects you And what others think of you only affects them. That is why the secret of the universe is to mind your own business P.S. And now you know why I did not create humans with thought bubbles above their heads. It was a very short-lived experiment…
A gentle reminder from Life Expecting the world to change before you do is like standing in front of a mirror and waiting for your reflection to smile before you do Say cheese! Life P.S. Speaking of mirrors – You’re looking good today!
